THE ARTISTS
CAROL H. MACLEOD
My images are about what I see, not about what I have to say. They are a part of a dialogue I have with myself about my environment, relationships and ideas. I see, shoot, print and look again. What part of this was I really seeing and what was I needing or getting from the connection?
"I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled (poets) to write their poetry, but a kind of instinct or inspiration, such as you see in seers or prophets who deliver all the sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean."
-Socrates in "Apology" by Plato

To make art, one must see;
To see the simplest forms;
To see line, shape, tone, color and texture;
To explore new and different subjects;
To find all this is fascinating.
